Commenting one more time, when you spoke about the relief of Purgatory I always think of Dante’s Purgatorio (Dante would be a cool series for you to lead, just sayin’) and I think of the the River of Lethe, that river of forgetting. Man, I’d love to float across that river! Maybe our earthly Purgatorio is our remembrance of past sins and the suffering they cause but as you said, not to let them take full rein. To accept the suffering but know that God has forgiven us and His mercy endures forever.

By the way I’m going to send you a DM here in Substack. Keep an eye out, if you see an alert icon by that messages tab

It’s a disincline to focus on God’s mercy but it’s absolutely necessary. I feel like we insult and dishonor his sacrifice him when we fail to do that. I don’t remember if I said that in this episode. Thank for subscribing by the way! God be with you

Hello! I’m enjoying catching up with your vids and podcasts! A comment regarding forgiveness: you mentioned that God’s forgiveness acts but ours does nothing. In my experience with a hard forgiveness, and I mean a harm one holds on to that is old and deep, we don’t even know how exactly it’s effecting us until we make that conscious effort to forgive and truly let go of it; throw it behind our backs as Jesus does with our sins. Well, to do that is freedom through Christ. The sin can’t take from you anymore, you know what I mean? That to me is action, through Christ’s mercy for sure, not but we are participants with Jesus. We free the person we forgive and ourselves. Thanks!
